Shipping policy

Estimated delivery times are shown on our product pages (below the Add to Cart button for every product), so you can see timing estimates easily while you shop.  Please plan ahead to ensure you receive your items in time for your next adventure!  

Approach & General Expectations: The Lake Shark is a small business based in the USA. From the very beginning, our founder made the decision to prioritize ethical and sustainable supply chain practices.

Since our products are handmade to order, it will take us a little longer to get them to you vs something you may find in a lower quality "fast-fashion" scheme. That said, our team IS AMAZING so you won't have too long to wait for your package of fun fab merch to arrive! 

Timeline Details: 

Once you submit an order, it typically takes our team 2-5 business days for production (BEFORE shipping).  

  • During this time we'll handle the prep for your order and then will do the custom printing, cutting, and hand-sewing work to compete production.  
  • The team will also do a 3 step quality check before they mark your order Ready to Ship.  

Then we handoff your package-of-awesomeness to the Shipping carrier to deliver your items to you. 

  • You will receive a confirmation email when your item(s) ship, with tracking information so you can follow along and signup for notification updates.

Shipping times vary. Delivery estimate dates from the shipping carrier are only estimations. We cannot guarantee shipping times (the carriers no longer guarantee their timing, so we aren't able to guarantee it either). Typically here are the average timings we see:

Within the Continental US: 

  • Most customers receive delivery within 3-5 business days.
  • Sometimes faster, sometimes slower: factors like your specific address, weather issues, and peak shipping periods (like around major holidays) can all impact delivery timing - just like with any delivery.
  • Your tracking number will give you full transparency to follow along as your package makes its way to you.

Other General Shipping Considerations:

Valid Addresses:  The customer is responsible for making sure the shipping address on your order is correct. If there is an error, a replacement shipment will require additional costs at the customer's expense. Please double check your order and delivery address details before finalizing & submitting your order.

Delivery Issues: What should I do if the shipping carrier says my package was delivered, but I don't have it?

  • Check your shipping confirmation email to ensure you provided the correct delivery address.
  • Followup directly with the shipping carrier and with your local post office to see if they are holding your package.
  • Followup with your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.
  • If necessary, follow up with the police to file a police report for the theft.

A package marked as delivered will be considered delivered unless sufficient evidence to the contrary is provided. Lost packages will be dealt with on a case by case basis and any  actions are at the sole discretion of The Lake Shark.
